Full-Body Workouts To Include To Your Fitness Routine Today

There are so many different types of exercises out there that it can blow your mind. While you may be familiar with the basics, are you familiar with the ones that you should be doing if you want a full-body workout? Ultimately, you should be focused on the exercises that are easy for you to learn and that will target several different muscle groups. Keep in mind that exercises do not need to be fancy or require expensive equipment to get the job done. Keep reading to learn a few full-body exercises that are simple and effective that you should consider adding to your fitness routine if they aren't already in it.

Push-Ups

Yes, the push-up is quite traditional, but it is indeed effective. The push-up may seem a bit elementary in nature, but it works several different muscles in your body, particularly the core, triceps, and chest. Ideally, you are lifting over half of your body weight when you perform a push-up. What makes a push-up even better is that there are multiple variations of this particular exercise, so you can switch things up each day.

Squats

The squat is another conventional exercise, and this one tends to target the muscles in your lower body. It focuses on your glutes, hamstrings, and hips, but it can also work your core and upper body if you use weights.

Lunges

The lunge is a very simple exercise, and it can work your hamstrings, glutes, and quadriceps. With dumbbells in your hands, you can work even more muscles!  Like other exercises, you can perform lunges in multiples different ways, making it easy to switch up your routine each day for a "change of scenery."

Burpees

The burpee is a more complicated and complex exercise, but it a very effective full-body workout. Some people learn these exercises while in school, especially if they play sports. However, if you are not familiar with the exercise, this is how you do it. You will begin in an upright standing position. You will then squat down and touch the ground with your hands. Next, kick your feet out behind you and perform a traditional push-up. Bring your feet back underneath you, and then jump up reaching into the air with your arms. This is a burpee. Some people will do this with weights in their hands.
